Essays, questions, and field guides — written by someone who lives inside them first.
Why I Write
I don't publish what I haven't lived first.
I trained in clinical social work and the science of human sexuality, and I've spent that same span of years building a life at the intersection of nervous system healing, identity reconstruction, and the questions I couldn't stop asking. What I write about is alive in my own life in real time.
I come from a lineage of women who were loved conditionally — who built survival and empires on the same hollow foundation, who performed themselves into exhaustion. I am not the first of us. I am the one who stopped.
I was born and raised in Baltimore, a city that shaped me in equal parts grit, brilliance, and contradiction. It took years to understand I wasn't meant to fit anywhere — I was meant to build the world I needed. The Aurialist, in its own way, is that world: the home I never found but always deserved.
What I Study
Intuition without rigor is folklore. Rigor without intuition is a cage.
I'm completing a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality, with a focus on intimacy, trauma recovery, and the emotional architecture of Black women's lives. I currently work as an intern at House of Ruth Maryland, alongside people rebuilding after intimate harm.
At the center of my academic work is an early dissertation project — The Psychological Architecture of Black Intimacy — an inquiry into how we love, protect ourselves, and rise again.
One framework I return to often, for readers who find it useful: The Loveseed Doctrine — four survival patterns, and the state past all of them.
What I Believe
I don't fix people. I help them re-draw the blueprint they were handed.
Most of us were built for survival, not for love. The work isn't to perform harder inside the wrong blueprint — it's to go down to the foundation and begin again.
I believe curiosity is a spiritual practice. I believe healing is not a straight line. And I believe the women I write for are not case studies. They're mirrors.

What I'm Building
A Black-owned, women-owned, trauma-informed wellness space — rooftop pool, certification programs, a class-pass model, a global concept, because the wound is global and so is the lineage. The Aurialist is where that thinking gets written down first.
